Inserting your Excel Charts |
The first button on the Chart Format toolbar lets you quickly paste your charts into PowerPoint (from Excel). |
Insert Excel Chart - Pastes a chart from the clipboard that has been copied from Excel. |
There are two ways you can insert your Excel charts into PowerPoint. | ||
1) Pasting them on top of a chart placheolder (replacing the placeholder). | ||
2) Pasting the copied chart directly on to the slide. |
1) Using a Chart Placeholder |
If you select a chart placeholder and you have a chart copied from Excel (on the clipboard) the existing chart placeholder will be replaced. | ||
Select the chart placeholder and press the Insert Excel Table button. | ||
If you select a chart object and you have a chart copied from Excel (on the clipboard) the existing chart will be replaced. |

2) Inserting a Chart directly |
If you have an existing slide you can use the Options drop-down list to insert a chart directly onto a slide. | ||
The size and position of the chart created corresponds to the selection in the Chart Placeholders drop-down list. | ||
In this case "Slide - Chart" has been selected. |

Using the Excel Chart Doctor it is very easy to change the size of your Excel charts and to copy them to the clipboard. | ||
If you are not using the Excel Chart Doctor then you can copy your charts manually. |
