There are two ways you can insert your Excel charts into PowerPoint.

1) Pasting them on top of a chart placheolder (replacing the placeholder).

2) Pasting the copied chart directly on to the slide.

1) Using a Chart Placeholder

If you select a chart placeholder and you have a chart copied from Excel (on the clipboard) the existing chart placeholder will be replaced.

Select the chart placeholder and press the Insert Excel Table button.

If you select a chart object and you have a chart copied from Excel (on the clipboard) the existing chart will be replaced.

2) Inserting a Chart directly

If you have an existing slide you can use the Options drop-down list to insert a chart directly onto a slide.

The size and position of the chart created corresponds to the selection in the Chart Placeholders drop-down list.

In this case "Slide - Chart" has been selected.

Using the Excel Chart Doctor it is very easy to change the size of your Excel charts and to copy them to the clipboard.

If you are not using the Excel Chart Doctor then you can copy your charts manually.
