 REMARKS

  • This function is only available if you have the Analysis ToolPak add-in installed.

  • The "rate" and "nper" must have the same units.

  • Payment periods are numbered beginning with 1.

  • If "rate" <= 0 then #NUM! is returned.

  • If "nper" is not an integer, it is truncated.

  • If "nper" <= 0, then #NUM! is returned.

  • If "pv" <= 0, then #NUM! is returned.

  • If "start_period" is not an integer, it is truncated.

  • If "start_period" < 1, then #NUM! is returned.

  • If "end_period" is not an integer, it is truncated.

  • If "end_period" < 1, then #NUM! is returned.

  • If "start_period" > "end_period", then #NUM! is returned.

  • If "type" is not an integer, it is truncated.

  • If "type" is any number other than 0 or 1, then #NUM! is returned.

  • Example - If you make monthly payments on a four-year loan at an annual interest rate of 12 percent, use 12%/12 for rate and 4*12 for nper. If you make annual payments on the same loan, use 12% for rate and 4 for nper.

     EXAMPLES

     A
    1=CUMPRINC(0.0075,360,125000,13,24,0) = -934.107
    2=CUMPRINC(0.0075,360,125000,1,1,0) = -68.278
