IMABS(inumber) |
| Returns the absolute value (modulus) of a complex number in x + yi or x + yj text format. |
| inumber | The complex number for which you want the absolute value. |
| REMARKS |
| In Excel 2007 (and later) this function has been removed from the Analysis ToolPak add-in and is available as standard. | ||
| In Excel 2003 this function is only available when you have the Analysis ToolPak add-in loaded. | ||
| If "inumber" is not in the form of x + yi or x + yj, then #NUM! is returned. | ||
| You can use the COMPLEX() function to convert real and imaginary coefficients into a complex number. |
