This toolbar was added in Excel 2003 as a way of updating and publishing lists to a SharePoint site.

 Toggle Total Row - Toggles the display of the total row at the bottom of your list.

 Synchronize List - Publishes any Excel changes to the SharePoint list and any changes to the SharePoint list to Excel.

 Discard Changes and Refresh - Ignores any Excel changes and refreshes with the SharePoint list.
