What are Automatic Formats and Formulas |
Excel tries to identify patterns as you create or extend a list. | ||

Automatic Formulas |
If the preceeding 3 rows have a consistent formula then this formula is automatically added to any new rows. | ||

Excel will not change (or insert) these automatic formulas until all the required parameters are present. |

Automatic Formats |
If the preceeding 3 rows have a consistent format then this format is automatically applied when any new rows are inserted below. | ||
The formatting is applied as soon as the new row is inserted. | ||
