Step 1 - What is the Spreadsheet Solutions Tab? |
There are a few templates built in which can be found by pressing (File > New) , General Templates and then "Spreadsheet Solutions" | ||
The templates often contain useful information and are worth opening and having a look at. | ||
Most templates come with a few formulas already set up and have a lot formatting applied to them to give them a professional look and feel. |

There is another tab "spreadsheet solutions" that contains some templates that could be useful. | ||
Excel provides a number of templates as standard for some common tasks. |

Installed templates can be found in the following folder: | ||
Excel 2003 - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\ | ||
Excel 2002 - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\ | ||
Excel 2000 - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\ | ||

The built-in templates can be found in the following location: | ||
Once you have created your template using (File > Open) will open the actual template as opposed to a file created from it. |
