Drawing Canvas Toolbar

Excel has a separate Drawing layer which contains all the charts, objects, autoshapes etc.

There is also a Drawing Canvas toolbar which can be displayed in Excel although its functionality is redundant.

There is an identical toolbar available in Word which is used when you insert a graphic object.

This object is inserted on what is called a "Drawing Canvas" and is basically a rectangle area that can contian one or more autoshapes.
