What is the Default Chart Type ?

Make sure that your default chart is the one which you use most often.

The default chart os a 2D clustered column chart with a gray plot area and …

SS of default chart.

The default chart will always have its plot area shaded grey

This may look OK on the screen but it doesn't look very good when printed in black and white.

If you are creating a lot of charts, changing the default chart type can save you a lot of time.

Changing the Default Chart Type

You can change the default chart type to any of the chart types listed on either the Standard types or Custom Types tabs.

Select the desired chart

Click the "set as default chart" option.

If you select one of the standard chart types then you must also specify the sub-type.
