If your worksheet contains external data ranges brought in by MSQuery there is an easy way to ensure the external data is always up-to-date. Right click the external data range Choose properties clear the “Enable background refresh” checkbox and select the “Refresh Data on File Open” and “Remove External Data from worksheet before saving” checkbox. |
Web Form Wizard |
You can use workbooks as Web Forms to collect information from users who fill out forms from within their browsers. Excel must be available on the user’s computer. The Web Form Wizard automatically creates the scripts necessary to save the data to a database file |
FTP to and from the Internet |
You can carry out FTP directly from within Excel, On the (File > Open) dialog box, at the bottom of the “look in” drop down there is a resource called “Internet Locations (FTP). Below this is an option “Add/Modify FTP Locations”, that lets you add new sites or modify existing FTP locations. These also appear in your (File > SaveAs) dialog box. |
