Step 1 - What are Cell Margins ? |
Tables do not have any margins as such but each cell does have internal margins. | ||
You can use the internal margins to help align and indent you table content. | ||
The cell margins can be easily overwritten for individual cells. |

It is not possible to apply a fill colour to a table that contains cells with different margins. | ||
If you want to have a table with a fill colour that contains cells with different margins you must apply the fill colour first. |
Step 2- Adjusting the Cell Margins |
You can specify the internal margins using the (Table > Borders and Fill)(Textbox tab). | ||
The margins displayed below are the default margins. | ||
If you want to change the margins for individual cells these must be selected before you display the dialog box. |

Step 3 - Things to Remember |
By default there is a 1 point border around each cell. |
