What is the Default Template ? |
When you select (File > New) to create a new presentation a blank presentation is displayed which uses the default template. | ||
This is black text on a white background. | ||
The template Blank.pot is automatically used for any blank presentations |
When you open a new blank presentation you are only given one slide master the “Master Slide”. In order to create a separate “Title Slide” select the Slide Master first by View, Master, Slide Master then select Insert / NewTitleMaster |

Creating your own Default Template |
You can create your own default template | ||
All you need to do is save it using the filename Blank.pot | ||
This means that the Masters and the colour schemes will be copied from this presentation and not the boring default one. | ||
To revert back to the original template just delete the Blank.pot file. |
(File > Save As) save as type "Design template with .pot" | ||
The folder will be automatically changed to the folder where the default templates are saved |
