Step 1 - What is a Presentation Template |
A Presentation Template (or Content Template) is a type of template that does not only contain pre-formatted master slides but also contains actual slides with sample content. |

You can also get additional presentation templates from the Microsoft website and from other websites. | ||
The AutoContent Wizard provides an easy way to access your Presentation Templates. | ||

Step 2 - Where are the Presentation Templates stored ? |
PowerPoint 2003 - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\ | ||
PowerPoint 2002 - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\ | ||
PowerPoint 2000 - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\ | ||
PowerPoint 97 - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\ |

If you want your templates to appear in the New Presentation dialog box you need to add them to the following folder: | ||
\Presentation Templates\ | ||
You can also create a new subfolder if you want another tab to appear |
By default all the built-in presentation templates are stored in a different folder to the built-in design templates. | ||
The slide design task pane only displays the templates found in the design templates folder | ||
If you want you templates to appear in the slide designs task pane you must copy them to the design templates folder. |
