What are 3D Settings ?

 



 

3-D Settings Toolbar

 
 

This toolbar can be displayed by selecting the "3D Settings" command at the bottom of the 3D Style drop-down menu on the Drawing toolbar.

 
   

 

 3D/2D Display - applies 3D format to the selected object using the default 3D settings, or cancels the effect. 3D effects and shadowing are mutually exclusive. If you activate 3D effects, shadow settings will be deactivated.

 
 

 Tilt Down - tilts the 3D effect downwards by 6 degrees about a horizontal axis. To make it tilt as far as the next point at 45 degrees hold down the Caps key and click on the Tick down icon.

 
 

 Tilt Up - tilits the 3D effect upwards by 6 degrees about a horizontal axis. To tilt it as far as the next point, hold down the Caps key and press the Tick Up icon.

 Depth - adjusts the depth of a 3D shape from 0 points to infinity. A customised option enable you to define the number of points yourself.

 
 

 Direction - adjusts the perspective that you give to your volume.

 
 

 Lighting - adjusts the lighting of your volume using 9 different angles.

 
 

 Surface - adjusts the appearance that you want to give your volumn. 4 options, wire frame, matte, plastic and metal.

 
 

 3D Colour - automatic, defines the colour that you want to give to your volume. This may be standard or customised.
