Formatting Diagrams |
It is possible to format your diagrams with the AutoLayout switched on. | ||
When AutoLayout is switched on the individual items can be formatted. They just cannot be moved or resized. | ||
You can format the individual items of a diagram by using the Format AutoShape dialog box. | ||
There are two ways you can display this dialog box | ||
1) Selecting (Format > AutoShape). | ||
2) Using the AutoShape shortcut menu. |

AutoLayout Switched On |
Switching AutoLayout on allows to select the items but displays grey selection handles. |

Autolayout Switched Off |
Switching AutoLayout off allows to select the items to display the familiar white selection handles. |

The is allows you to do any of the following: | ||
1) Increase and decrease the individual size of the individual items | ||
2) Drag and reposition individual items | ||
3) Rotate the individual items by dragging the yellow diamond. | ||
4) Change the actual shape completely using (Draw > Change AutoShape) command. | ||
5) Add additional shapes and textboxes to your diagrams. |
Things to Remember |
To enter text into a shape just click on it and start typing. |
