Step 1 - Traditional Copy and Paste |
Uses (Edit > Copy) and (Edit > Paste). |
Step 2 - Selecting the Chart Area |
Highlight the chart in Excel (with black handles) |

Select (Edit > Copy) or alternatively use the shortcut key (Ctrl + C) |
Step 3 - Selecting the Shape Object |
You can hold down either the Ctrl or the Shift key. | ||

Step 4 - Pasting into PowerPoint |
Select the slide you want to insert the chart on and select (Edit > Paste) or alternatively press (Ctrl + "V"). |

Step 5 - Things to Remember |
Resizing the chart once in PowerPoint will distort all the text. | |||
If your chart is too large for the page, then it will be automatically resized to fit on the slide. |
