Step 1 - ??

 

 

After Word has created a table, the insertion point is placed in the top left cell.

 
 

You can type text in your cells the same as you would normally.

 
 

Text will be aligned on the left by default and will be wrapped assuming the AutoFit to Contents option was nto selected.

 
 

Pressing Tab move you to the next cell.

(Ctrl + Tab) - inserts a tab into a cell.

 

 

To quickly insert consecutive numbers into a column, select the column and click the Numbering icon on the Formatting toolbar.

 

 

You can enter a carriage return into a cell to space your text

To move to the next cell in a table press Tab. To move to the previous cell press (Shift + Tab)

 
 
(Tab)Moves to the next cell.
(Shift + Tab)Moves to preceding cell.
(Home)Moves to beginning of the line in the curren cell.
(End)Moves to the end of the line in the current cell.
(Alt + Home)Moves to the beginning of the first cell in the current row.
(Alt + End)Moves to the beginning of the last cell in the current row.
(Alt + PageUp)Moves to the beginning of the first cell in the current column.
(Alt + PageDown)Moves to the beginning of the last cell in the current column.
(Ctrl + Tab)Inserts a tab into a table cell.
(Alt + "5")Select the entire table (5 being on the number pad - with number lock off).
(Alt + Select and Drag)Enables a vertical selection of cells within a table.
(Up Arrow)Moves up one line within a cell. If at the top of a cell then up one cell. If at the top of a table then up one line above the table.
(Down Arrow)Moves down one line within a cell. If at the bottom of a cell then down one cell. If at the bottom of a table the down one line below the table.
(Left Arrow)Moves left one character within a cell. If at the beginning of a cell then to the preceeding cell.
(Right Arrow)Moves right one character within a cell. If at the end of a cell then to the next cell.
