What is my Current Default ? |
There is no way of checking what bullet format is your current default without using the Bullets button to find out.
Displaying the (Format > Bullets and Numbering) dialog box will not display your current default format.
This dialog box always displays the formatting that corresponds to the currently selected paragraph.
If the current selection does not have a bullet format applied to it then "None" is selected when this dialog box is displayed. |
Understanding Indents and Tabs |
Bullet points use three important markers to determine where the bullet and the text will appear. |
First Line Indent - This is the distance from the left margin to the bullet and indicates if there is any indentation. All the built-in bullet formats are indented by 0.63cm. |
Left tab - This is the distance from the left margin to the first line of text. |
Hanging Indent - This is the distance from the left margin to the second and subsequent lines of text. |
