(F9) - Updates all the field codes in the current selection.

 
 

(F11) - Moves to the next field.

 
 

(Alt + F9) - Toggles between displaying field codes and field results

 
 

(Ctrl + F9) - Inserts a blank field containing two curly brackets.

 
 

(Ctrl + F11) - Locks a field code.

 
 

(Shift + F9) - Toggles between displaying field codes and field results.

 
 

(Shift + F11) - Moves to the previous field.

(General tab, Update automatic links at open - Automatically prompts to update any external database fields.

 
 

(Print tab, Update Fields) - Updates all the fields (inc. those in headers and footers) automatically before a document is printed.
