Troubleshooting
1) When I delete the section break, why does Section B's header/footer definition remain ?
If Section A's headers/footers were set to "Same as Previous", Word will silently re-link them when the break is deleted.
In this case Section A's header/footer is suddenly changed to what Section B had.
2) When I delete the section break, why do all the headers and footers get deleted ?
When you delete the section break, Word often wipes out all headers and footers because the two sections' header/footer types are incompatible.
When you delete the break, Word tries to merge these two sets.
Section 1 has a different first page header/footer defined.
Section 2 does not have a different first page header/footer defined
In this scenario, before deleting the section break make the following changes:
Switch the header/footer to have a different first page and remove the link to previous for both the header and footer.
3) When I delete a section break the header and footer changes in an unexpected way
4) When I delete a Continuous section break, the preceeding Next Page section break changes to Continuous ?
